During recovery from ISO in radiology, patient 261 struck their wing on the table before being placed back into their transport box. Upon return to his enclosure at the Raptor Center, emphysema was observed on the left wing, with two air sacs visibly inflated at the distal end of the carpus. A thorough wing examination revealed bruising in the region of the inflated air sacs, and the surrounding tissue felt emphysematous. No fractures were detected. The air sacs were manually deflated, and the patient was returned to their cage.
